Roofing has been a part of my life ever since I was a teenager. I began working for my father’s small roofing business, Diamond Construction, at the age of 13. Back then, I was responsible for carrying shingles and cleaning up project sites.

At 30 years old, after seven years of owning Stern Construction, I became the residential manager at a large commercial roofing company. While there, I helped grow their shingle division, which started as a single three-man team and grew to over 15 crews in just a few years.

In 1990, I became a partner at BCI, where I was one of only two employees. By the time I became primary owner in 2013, we had grown to over 50 employees, 35 work trucks, and served over 40,000 satisfied customers.

For over 38 years, we have built a foundation of trust among our customers. What I love most about my company is that we hold ourselves to a higher standard: we expect the best from ourselves and we never compromise on quality craftsmanship. Our objective is to show professionalism at all levels and make sure our customer is happy at the end of the day.

When I’m not at BCI, I enjoy working on classic cars and spending with my large family, especially all my grandchildren.

About

I have been in the industry for about 28 years; 21 of those have been with BCI. I got my start by working on roofs for my grandfather at a very young age. Here at BCI, I like the family-type atmosphere and how everyone helps get the job done. Every day is different and I like the challenge.

I’m an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting, fishing, and working at the cabin. I enjoy hanging out with my wife of 20 years and my daughter, who is pursuing career in the medical field.

About

I have 32 years of residential exterior experience. I worked as a siding installer for seven years before becoming a supervisor. From running crews, giving estimates, ordering materials, and scheduling, I have done it all! I’ve been running the windows, doors, gutters and carpentry work for BCI for the last 13 years. The industry is ever-changing and the thing that I admire most about BCI is the investment they put in their staff. They see to it that we are all properly trained in our work so we in turn can ensure quality craftsmanship for our customers. Our installation crews and I have been trained and certified in the installation of vinyl, fiber cement, L.P. SmartSide siding and windows/doors.
In my spare time, I especially enjoy outdoor activities and traveling.

About

I started installing roofs at a young age and have been in the industry for over 12 years. I enjoy troubleshooting jobs and thinking outside-the-box to find a solution that best fits a homeowner’s needs. The people I work with at BCI are genuine and each person puts their best foot forward with regard to work ethic, accountability and responsibility.

I’m an avid football fan and health enthusiast. If I’m not working out at the gym, I’m spending time with my sister and her family. I also love the movie ‘The Notebook’.

About

My father owned his own roofing business, so from the age of 12, I have been working in the home improvements and roofing industry. Being home-schooled, I spent my days on the roof working and my nights “going to school”. I have worked for BCI since 2007. It is a pleasure to work for a company that truly values quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction and its employees. My role at BCI is twofold: I’m here to address any concerns our customers have, and to ensure that they’re satisfied with the work at the end of each project.

I really enjoy coming home to my beautiful wife and two girls. As a family, we enjoy table tennis, golfing, camping and swimming. I feel blessed to have both a happy work and home life.

About

They call me “Big Joe”! I have over 42 years of experience in the roofing industry and 19 years of that has been working with BCI Exteriors. I like the challenge of keeping the BCI crews supplied and having things run smoothly for every job. Maintaining the large warehouse is a big part of my job, doing everything from cleaning to ordering to stocking building materials for all of BCI’s services.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family at our cottage.  My grandchildren keep me busy, especially the youngest.  My hobbies include doing projects with my wife, hunting, fishing, following sports, and playing a little poker.

About

In 1987, after moving to the Milwaukee are from New York City and marrying my wife Pam, I met Larry. At the time Larry was in a management position at a commercial/residential construction company and he took a chance on me as a young ambitious man. As time passed, I learned a lot of valuable installation and crew leadership skills performing a wide variety of residential exterior installations eventually moving in to management in 1996. I have been in management ever since which included a role working alongside my wife at a commercial roofing and sheet metal company in the southeast Wisconsin area for about 10 years. Then in 2019 I returned to BCI as a production manager.

I have gained much experience over the 34+ years I have worked in the construction industry and continue to learn more every day. Quality and integrity are very important to me personally and do what I can to see that those attributes are sought for and achieved here at BCI.

Daily I strive to a man of faith and devote a considerable amount of time outside of work volunteering with my wife assisting others in whatever ways we can. Further activities that we enjoy are DYI projects around the house, traveling, off road jeep adventures, motorcycling and scuba diving.

About

I joined the BCI team in January 2021 and am enjoying utilizing my 20 years of customer service experience. My responsibilities include managing the appointment calendar, providing referrals, and answering questions regarding current projects. In my free time I enjoy teaching at my dance studio, Academy of Dance Arts, and running my four children to their activities.
